The Wolf Among Us – Episode 3 Coming Next Week!

Yes, it’s that time again – time for a new episode of The Wolf Among Us! Episode 3: A Crooked Mile is all set to be released next week:

  • PC/Mac (worldwide) – Tuesday, April 8th
  • PlayStation 3 (North America) – Tuesday, April 8th
  • Xbox 360 (worldwide) – Wednesday, April 9th
  • PlayStation 3 (Europe) – Wednesday, April 9th
  • iOS – no date specified yet.

Last week, Telltale Games teased us with a tweet of the episode’s artwork, featuring Bigby going full wolf:

And today, we finally have the launch trailer!

“After discovering damning evidence at a bloody crime scene, Bigby is just steps behind the prime suspect of a horrific murder, but he’s not the only one; other forces in Fabletown will stop at nothing to protect their interests. Every decision matters and time is ticking in this thrilling third episode of The Wolf Among Us.”

For those of you unfamiliar, the episode name is a reference to an English nursery rhyme called “There Was a Crooked Man”, which goes something like this:

“There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.”

The Crooked Man is a new character exclusive to the game, as he is not in the comic version of the Fables series, unlike many of the characters we have already met. It’s also worth noting that in episode 2, Beauty mentioned taking a loan from the Crooked Man, and it’s likely that he is the boss of Tweedle Dum and Dee, or at least linked to them in some way.

Although the launch trailer is only a minute and a half long, the folks over at Telltale Community have already analyzed every second of it, with screenshots of notable people and objects, bringing up some interesting results, questions and discussions. Take a look at the analysis here.
